Taiwo Hassan medical care details emerge following death
Details have emerged regarding the final medical efforts to save veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, before his death following a battle with cancer.
According to an aide, Senator Olamilekan Solomon (Yayi) attempted to facilitate treatment for Hassan in India. However, due to delays in the visa application process, Hassan became too weak to travel. In response, Senator Solomon arranged for a medical doctor from India to be flown to Nigeria to assist with his care. Hassan was subsequently moved to St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, where specialists provided treatment until his condition declined five days before his passing.
Veteran actor Peter Fatomilola expressed regret regarding the situation, noting that he was unaware of Hassan’s health struggles until the actor’s daughter made a public appeal for assistance. Fatomilola stated that had he known of the challenges, he would have sought guidance to help his colleague.
