Tajikistan marks 35th anniversary of state independence

Tajikistan is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its state independence with various ceremonies and diplomatic exchanges. In Dushanbe, President Emomali Rahmon addressed a gathering at the National Theatre, reflecting on the nation's journey from the civil war of the early 1990s to its current state of sovereignty and stability.

International leaders and diplomatic missions have extended congratulations. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko praised Tajikistan's economic growth and sovereignty, while Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev sent a letter highlighting the strategic partnership and shared cultural ties between the two nations. In Baku, the Tajik Embassy hosted a celebration featuring traditional music, dance, and handicrafts.

Additionally, President Rahmon called for enhanced cultural, scientific, and intellectual cooperation among Persian-speaking peoples during a scientific forum in Dushanbe. In Ashgabat, the Tajik Ambassador hosted a reception to mark the milestone, emphasizing the growing strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
