Take Charge of My Heart drama to premiere October 9

The new Korean romance-comedy series, ‘Take Charge of My Heart’, is set to premiere on October 9, 2026. Adapted from the popular Naver web novel ‘Charge Me Up’ by Haebeon, the drama is directed by Park Soo Won.

The story follows Baek Ho Rang, a TS Group heir who relies on an artificial heart with a depleting battery, and Na Bo Bae, a drama scriptwriter who gains the supernatural ability to generate electricity after being struck by lightning. The two form a unique agreement where Na Bo Bae helps maintain Baek Ho Rang’s heart for three months in exchange for him helping her fulfill a romantic bucket list.

During a recent press conference in Seoul, director Park Soo Won discussed the casting of Kim Young Kwang and Chae Soo Bin. The director noted that Kim was chosen for his ability to balance charisma with the comedic timing necessary for the role, while Chae was selected for her acting capabilities.
