Taşköprü delegation promotes regional garlic at Spain's Las Pedroeras International Garlic Fair

On 25 July 2026 a delegation from the Turkish district of Taşköprü traveled to Cuenca province, Spain, to attend the Las Pedroeras International Garlic Fair. The delegation was headed by Taşköprü Kaymakam Abdullah Demirdağ and Mayor Hüseyin Arslan and also included the district’s agricultural and forestry director Mehmet İpek, representatives of the local action group, garlic producers and businesspeople.

During the visit the group toured the local Ethnography and Garlic Museum, where they examined exhibits on the historical development of garlic cultivation and the region’s cultural heritage. Mayor Arslan said the meetings and museum tour were intended to increase the international visibility of Taşköprü’s geographically‑indicated garlic product.
