Takumi Minamino returns to action for AS Monaco after 298 days

Takumi Minamino made his official competitive return for AS Monaco in a UEFA Conference League match against CSKA Sofia on October 15. This appearance marked his first competitive start in 298 days following a severe left knee injury.

Minamino, who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in December 2024, played a pivotal role in Monaco's 2-1 victory. He was instrumental in the buildup to both of Monaco's goals, providing the initial touches and passes that led to scoring opportunities for teammates. After contributing to the offensive momentum, Minamino was substituted in the 59th minute.
