Talita Damasceno earns gold for Sorocaba at São Paulo school taekwondo championships

Fifteen‑year‑old Talita Damasceno Bruder Santini of Sorocaba won the junior under‑17 female division at the regional stage of the Jogos Escolares do Estado de São Paulo (JEESP) on 14 June in Hortolândia. The victory, her second major title in fifteen days, follows a gold medal at the Grand Slam SP taekwondo event on 31 May.

The wins qualify her for two national competitions: the Super Campeonato Brasileiro 2026 in Brasília (12‑16 August) and the 2026 Youth Games in Foz do Iguaçu (19 Oct‑3 Nov). She trains with Tropeiros Taekwondo Clube under master Paulo Akira, with support from the Sorocaba municipal sports department.
