Tamaulipas launches tourism ambassador program for children
The Tamaulipas Secretariat of Tourism and the Secretariat of Social Welfare have launched ‘Turistas por Tamaulipas’, an educational program designed for children aged 6 to 12. The initiative aims to foster a sense of identity, pride, and passion for the state's heritage among younger generations.
Through visits to the Museo Barco, participants will explore local history, legends, and emblematic sites via a specialized itinerary. As part of the program, children will learn about the professional roles of tourism guides. The experience concludes with participants receiving a symbolic ‘Official BARCO Guide Certification’, designating them as ambassadors for Tamaulipas tourism.
