Tamaulipas promotes agro-food potential at Mundo Mezcal festival

Antonio Varela Flores, the Secretary of Rural Development, Fisheries, and Aquaculture of Tamaulipas, attended the inauguration of the second edition of ‘Mundo Mezcal. Festival del Agave, Tierra y Sazón’ in Mexico City.

The festival, held from October 16 to 18, aims to promote agave products, boost the mezcal industry, and strengthen commercial ties for producers and companies. During the event, Varela Flores emphasized the importance of the agricultural sector as a driver of economic development and a core part of Tamaulipas' identity.

Through this participation, the Tamaulipas Secretariat seeks to increase visibility for the state's productive potential and foster connections within the agro-food supply chain. The festival brings together exhibitors, strategic allies, and authorities to celebrate Mexican gastronomy and agave culture.
