Tamaulipas promotes inclusive tourism for vulnerable groups

The Tamaulipas Secretariat of Tourism, in collaboration with DIF Tamaulipas and DIF Tampico, organized a free trip for 70 individuals, including senior citizens and people with visual and auditory disabilities. The group traveled from Tampico to Gómez Farías to participate in social tourism activities.

Participants visited the El Cielo Biosphere Ecological Park for adapted activities focused on biodiversity and nature. The itinerary also included a visit to the La Bocatoma 2 Ecotourism Park, featuring local cuisine and boat rides. Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, the Secretary of Tourism, stated that the initiative aims to open tourism to vulnerable populations through recreational and cultural experiences.
