Tamaulipas promotes Playa Miramar and Playa La Pesca as key coastal destinations
The Tamaulipas Secretary of Tourism, Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez, has promoted the state's coastal destinations, highlighting Playa Miramar in Ciudad Madero and Playa La Pesca in Soto la Marina. These sites are being positioned as complementary offerings for families, business travelers, and sports enthusiasts.
Playa Miramar is noted for its accessibility and status as the only certified inclusive beach in the Gulf of Mexico, featuring ramps and amphibious equipment. It supports various water sports, including surfing and diving, and is scheduled to host events such as the Miramar Tochito Fest and Marciano Fest in October.
In contrast, Playa La Pesca offers an ecotourism focus, characterized by tranquility, mangrove boat tours, and bird watching. The area is a destination for sport fishing and provides opportunities to witness the nesting and release of Kemp's ridley sea turtle hatchlings between March and August.
