Tamaulipas PVEM forms committee for 2027 candidate selection
The Green Ecological Party of Mexico (PVEM) in Tamaulipas has established the 'Nueva Fuerza Verde' State Selection Committee. Led by state leader Manuel Muñoz Cano, this group of notables is tasked with identifying and evaluating citizens for potential candidacies in the upcoming local elections scheduled for June 6, 2027.
The committee aims to select candidates based on honesty, local roots, prestige, and a spirit of service. The selection process follows a call for participation that opened on June 14 and is set to conclude on August 31. The upcoming electoral cycle in the state is expected to begin on September 13, involving contests for 43 municipal presidencies, 36 local deputy positions, and various regidurias and syndicatures.
Committee members include Esmeralda Peña Jácome, Paola Martínez Quintanilla, Yoric Alessio Linares Álvarez, Julia Amanda Garza Benítez, Juan Carlos Cantú, Nidia Alanís Vargas, Andrés Zorrilla Moreno, Gustavo Pantoja Villarreal, and Miguel Herrera Coronado.
