Tamaulipas to host 2026 National Infrastructure Congress
The state of Tamaulipas will host the 2026 National Infrastructure Congress, titled ‘Connection and Development for Mexico,’ on November 26 and 27 in Ciudad Victoria. Organized by the Tamaulipas Secretariat of Public Works and the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC), the event aims to foster collaboration between government authorities, private companies, and financial institutions.
The congress will focus on three priority areas: road infrastructure, water infrastructure, and mixed investments. A key component of the program includes an international panel regarding the expansion project of Bridge III in Nuevo Laredo, which is critical for trade between Mexico and the United States.
Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya emphasized that the connectivity of Mexico is built through Tamaulipas, noting that the expansion of the Nuevo Laredo bridge is essential for the movement of goods from companies across the country. The state has invested over 25 billion pesos in public works during the first four years of the current administration.
