Tamil Nadu BJP spokesperson slams state government over minor girl's murder in Koyambathur

A minor girl was found dead in Koyambathur, Chennai district, on 25 May 2024. Tamil Nadu BJP chief spokesperson Narayanan Tirupathi criticised the state government, saying that despite a change in administration, law‑and‑order conditions have not improved. He accused the government of failing to act on crimes against women and children, noting a series of murders, rapes and other offences.

Tirupathi also highlighted delays in resolving cases filed under the POCSO Act, calling for reforms in both the police and judicial systems. He questioned recent administrative measures, such as the frequent transfer of senior police officers, and urged the government to implement concrete steps to protect vulnerable groups.
