Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay to attend NITI Aayog meeting and sign water‑supply MoU
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay is set to travel to Delhi to take part in the NITI Aayog meeting scheduled for June 11, marking his second visit to the capital as chief minister. He is expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and senior Congress leaders; during his first visit he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the same day the Tamil Nadu government signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Union government to implement the Jal Jeevan Mission 2.0 (Uyir Neer Iyakkam) across the state. The MoU, signed via video conference in the presence of CM Vijay and Union Minister for Jal Shakti C.R. Patil, aims to upgrade drinking‑water infrastructure, improve service delivery and ensure long‑term water security for households in Tamil Nadu.
