Tamil Nadu Government Reassigns dozens of IAS officials

The Tamil Nadu state government issued orders on May 29 to reshuffle a large number of Indian Administrative Service officers. The changes include transfers of several district collectors, departmental secretaries and senior officials to new positions. Notable appointments are E. Sundaravalli moving to the Public and Rehabilitation Department as Special Secretary, R. Lalitha becoming Expenditure Secretary in the Finance Department, and multiple collectors such as A.K. Kamal Kishore and M.S. Prashanth taking joint secretary roles in Finance. New postings also cover health, education, agriculture, and various public‑sector corporations, with many officials receiving additional responsibilities in development boards and agencies. The reshuffle affects districts across the state, including new collectors for Madurai, Nagapattinam, Theni, Tiruchirappalli and others, and reassigns senior officers to heads of corporations and boards.
