Tamil Nadu government reshuffles senior IAS and IPS officers

On 14 July, the Tamil Nadu state government issued orders moving several senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to new posts, with the transfers taking effect immediately.

IPS officer A. Arun, previously Additional Director General of Police and Director at the Anti‑Corruption and Vigilance Directorate, was reassigned as Additional Director General of Police and Director at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy in Chennai. IPS officer C. Mangeshwari, serving as Police Superintendent in the DVA’s Special Investigation Cell‑1, received additional charge as Additional Director General of Police for the DVA.

IAS transfers included H. Krishnanunni, who moved from Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation to become Director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, with S.P. Amrit taking over his former role. IAS Shilpa Prabhakar Satish shifted from Labour Commissioner to Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation, replacing Dr P. Umanath. S.P. Amrit was also appointed Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, succeeding H. Krishnanunni. The orders cite GO(MS) No. 167 (1994) provisions and are presented as steps to boost departmental efficiency and strengthen administration.
