Tamil Nadu weather forecast predicts rain in seven districts and rising temperatures

The India Meteorological Department has forecasted light to moderate rainfall across seven districts in Tamil Nadu. Due to a weak low-pressure area in the lower atmospheric layers near the coast, districts including Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Kallakurichi, Tiruchirappalli, Ariyalur, and Perambalur may experience moderate rain during the day.

While some areas expect rain, northern inland districts are likely to see a rise in maximum temperatures by up to 3 degrees Celsius between Thursday and August 30. This increase may lead to increased heat and discomfort during afternoon hours.

In Chennai, partly cloudy skies are expected during the day, with a possibility of light rain in the evening or at night. Rainfall is expected to be scattered rather than uniform across the state. The meteorological department continues to monitor the atmospheric system near the Tamil Nadu coast for any significant changes.
