Tampa Bay Rays clinch AL East title and No. 1 seed

The Tampa Bay Rays have clinched the American League East division title and secured the No. 1 seed in the American League. This achievement grants the team a bye into the American League Division Series (ALDS) and home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

As the team prepares for the playoffs, the roster faces mixed news regarding injuries. Starting pitcher Shane McClanahan has been ruled out for the ALDS due to left forearm tightness. However, the bullpen may receive significant reinforcements, as relief pitchers Tyler Wells and Garrett Cleavinger both have the potential to return for the series despite dealing with forearm tightness.
