Tandil municipality plants 70 trees at El Remanso Rural School

The Municipality of Tandil conducted an afforestation initiative at the El Remanso Rural School, which provides primary education and kindergarten services. During the event, 70 casuarina trees were planted around the perimeter of the property.

The goal of the planting is to create a forest barrier to protect the educational community from nearby agricultural production, in accordance with Phytosanitary Ordinance No. 17.404. The trees and necessary maintenance materials were donated by the private company CeresTolvas John Deere.

Local authorities provided guidance to the school community on tree care, emphasizing the need for weed and ant control, grass maintenance, and increased irrigation during summer months to ensure the survival of the new vegetation.
