Tangerang Police arrest two motorcycle theft suspects

The Metro Tangerang Kota Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Jatanras) arrested two men, identified as AR (alias Jack) and H (also referred to as Udin), in the Babakan Asem area of Teluknaga, Tangerang Regency. The suspects are alleged to have been involved in at least seven motorcycle thefts across the Teluknaga, Benda, and Sepatan areas, with investigations extending to Kalideres in West Jakarta.

During the arrest on October 28, 2026, officers seized two motorcycles—a black Honda Vario and a black Honda Beat—along with several tools used in the crimes, including seven 'T-shaped' keys. Other confiscated items included mobile phones, vehicle ownership documents (BPKB), registration certificates (STNK), and identification cards.

Police revealed that both suspects are recidivists with prior convictions for similar vehicle theft offenses. Following the arrests, investigators identified several additional victims who had not yet officially reported their missing vehicles. Authorities are continuing to develop the case to determine if the suspects are linked to other thefts in the region.
