Tango BA Festival y Mundial begins in Buenos Aires

The Tango BA Festival y Mundial is set to take place in Buenos Aires, spanning more than 50 venues across 34 neighborhoods. Organized by the Buenos Aires Ministry of Culture, the event runs from August 20 through September 2.

The festival features a diverse program including over 2,000 artists. Activities encompass concerts, dance exhibitions, classes, milongas, talks, and exhibitions. The programming aims to create a dialogue between traditional tango and avant-garde expressions.

The opening event at Usina del Arte includes performances by Abel Pintos, Vicentico, Milagros Amud, the Camerata Argentina de Cuerdas, and the Orquesta de Tango de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Other notable participants include the Sexteto Mayor, Ana María Stekelman, and Lito Vitale.
