Tank Dell activated to Houston Texans roster after 22-month injury layoff

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell has been activated to the active roster following a 22-month recovery from a severe knee injury. Dell is expected to play for the first time since December 2024, when he sustained a dislocated kneecap and multiple ligament tears, including the ACL, MCL, and LCL, during a game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Dell was a full participant in practice this week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. While his return is highly anticipated, team officials suggest his workload may be limited initially. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans noted that Dell has maintained his explosiveness and speed during his recovery.

The Texans' injury report also includes several other players. Azeez Al-Shaair, Dalton Schultz, and Trent Brown are expected to play against the Giants, while running back David Montgomery, nickelback Jalen Pitre, and safety Reed Blankenship remain sidelined.
