Houston Texans prepare for Week 7 matchup against New York Giants

The Houston Texans are set to host the New York Giants in a Week 7 matchup at Reliant Stadium. A major storyline for Houston is the return of wide receiver Tank Dell, who is scheduled to play his first game in nearly two years following a catastrophic knee injury sustained in December 2024. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans stated that the team has no specific performance expectations for Dell, focusing instead on his return to the field.

The New York Giants enter the contest as significant underdogs, with betting lines shifting to a 10.5-point spread in favor of the Texans. The Giants are also facing roster challenges, including a quarterback change that sees J.J. McCarthy making his first start. Additionally, the Giants' defense may be shorthanded, with linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and cornerback Greg Newsome facing availability concerns due to injury.

While the Texans are riding momentum from recent wins and the strong play of quarterback C.J. Stroud, the Giants are looking to maintain their lead in the NFC East before their upcoming bye week.
