The Tanzanian government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening economic ties with the Dangote Group, seeking to attract new investments in fertiliser production, energy, and industrial infrastructure.

A Tanzanian delegation recently visited the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals plant in Lagos, Nigeria, to follow up on discussions between President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Dangote Group CEO Aliko Dangote. The visit aimed to expand the group's investment footprint within Tanzania.

Dangote Group currently operates Tanzania's largest cement manufacturing plant, representing an investment of approximately $800 million. The Tanzanian government expressed specific interest in leveraging Dangote's expertise to bolster the nation's long-term development agenda.
