Nextapple News launches mayoral election polls for Taoyuan and New Taipei

Nextapple News has launched online polls regarding the upcoming mayoral elections in Taoyuan and New Taipei. The surveys, conducted between September 28 and October 2, 2026, allow readers to vote on their preferred candidates with an eight-week countdown to the election.

The polls utilize convenience sampling of internet users in Taiwan. The organization notes that the results reflect only the choices of the participants and do not represent traditional probability-based public opinion polls. Technical mechanisms are in place to identify and exclude duplicate or automated votes to maintain validity.
