Tarapoto judge orders nine months of detention for robbery suspect

A Peruvian judge has ordered nine months of preventive detention for Jhon Willy Troya Rojas, who is suspected of participating in an attempted aggravated robbery in Tarapoto. According to police investigations, Troya Rojas allegedly acted as the driver of a small vehicle used during the assault on Sinchi Roca Street.

The incident involved an exchange of gunfire between police officers and suspects, resulting in the death of 23-year-old Pedro Iván Cachay Villegas. Troya Rojas has been transferred to the Tarapoto Penitentiary while the prosecution and police continue to gather evidence to clarify his involvement and determine legal responsibilities.
