Tarcísio de Freitas launches São Paulo reelection campaign

São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas officially launched his reelection campaign with a series of events in the Greater São Paulo area, specifically targeting the female electorate and the metropolitan region. In Osasco, Tarcísio held a roundtable with approximately 200 women to discuss safety, entrepreneurship, and health, signaling that women's issues will dominate his campaign debates. He proposed initiatives such as the 'Casa da Mãe Atípica' and expanded 24-hour women's protection police stations.

The campaign launch also highlighted a strategic focus on the metropolitan area, an area where his opponent, Fernando Haddad, performed strongly in 2022. Tarcísio emphasized his administration's record while promising a more digital state through the use of artificial intelligence in public services. While he maintained alignment with Bolsonarismo, his events showed a secondary emphasis on Flávio Bolsonaro compared to his own management and local regional priorities.

During the campaign kickoff, Tarcísio also addressed allegations of police misconduct made by a candidate, dismissing them as false based on GPS and camera analysis. Additionally, his events drew both political allies and protesters, with demonstrations occurring near campaign venues in Osasco.
