Tareq Saleh: Red Sea security requires reclaiming Hodeidah and Sanaa
Tareq Saleh, a member of Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, stated that securing the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab strait is contingent upon reclaiming Hodeidah and Sanaa from Houthi forces. During a video meeting with National Resistance moral guidance officers, Saleh emphasized that Yemen serves as the first line of defense against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's regional ambitions.
Saleh addressed recent Houthi escalations, noting an attack that included 57 ballistic missiles and dozens of explosive drones targeting the West Coast front. He also accused the militia of targeting Yemeni-owned commercial vessels, including a ship that has been out of service for a year, as a means of propaganda. Saleh called for national unity to restore state institutions and the republic.
