Tarik Muharemović discusses Bosnia and Herzegovina choice and Leeds United role

Bosnia and Herzegovina international defender Tarik Muharemović has discussed his decision to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina despite being born in Slovenia. Muharemović stated that his family roots and a lifelong desire to play for his homeland guided his choice.

Following his move to Leeds United, Muharemović has quickly integrated into the squad, securing a starting position. He noted that while the move to the English league is a significant career step, his ultimate ambition is to compete in a World Cup with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has expressed cautious optimism regarding the 23-year-old's performance. While acknowledging Muharemović's potential and the effort made to sign him, Farke urged media restraint, noting that the defender has only played five matches in the Premier League and still has areas to improve to ensure long-term consistency.
