Tarique Rahman calls for unity and reform in Bangladesh

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called for national unity and innovation to drive prosperity in Bangladesh. Speaking at the inauguration of the Bangladesh Innovation Fair-2026, the Prime Minister urged entrepreneurs, researchers, and businesspeople to collaborate with the government to address the state's needs through innovative ideas.

In a separate address during the concluding session of the 13th Parliament, the Prime Minister stated that his administration will not use inherited crises—such as gas and electricity shortages—as excuses for inaction. He noted that the previous administration left behind significant corruption and debt, particularly regarding quick-rental power plants and a failure to extract domestic gas from the Bay of Bengal. He emphasized that the government is working on structured plans to resolve these systemic irregularities and ensure security and relief for the population.
