Jubillar case: New bones found during murder reconstruction in Tarn

New bones have been discovered in a field in Mailhoc, Tarn, during searches conducted ahead of a judicial reconstruction in the Delphine Aussaguel murder case. The remains, which may include a tibia fragment, are undergoing scientific analysis to confirm if they belong to the 33-year-old nurse who disappeared in December 2020.

The reconstruction took place on October 2 in Cagnac-les-Mines and Mailhoc, involving approximately 150 gendarmes to secure the area. During the three-and-a-half-hour process, Cédric Jubillar, who previously confessed to the killing, mimed the act of strangling his wife and indicated where he hid her body under a mound of soil.

Despite the recent confessions and the new findings, investigators noted that significant questions remain regarding the exact circumstances of the crime. The discovery occurred in a section of the field that had not been previously searched. The investigation continues as experts work to identify the remains.
