Tarquinia launches summer carnival with giant inflatable floats

The summer carnival 2026 opened in Tarquinia on the evening of 25 July. More than thirteen giant inflatable figures, some taller than ten metres, marched along the lungomare accompanied by music, lights and animation. The free‑entry event replaced traditional confetti throws to keep the seafront tidy. Organisers include the Comune di Tarquinia, the local Pro loco, the Troppo Forti group, Sib Tarquinia, Federbalneari, merchants, beach operators and volunteers. A second night of the carnival is scheduled for 16 August, also at 21:30 on the promenade.

The festival aims to attract residents, tourists and families, blending traditional carnival spirit with a seaside, summer atmosphere.
