Tartu promotes diverse event venues and scientific engagement

The city of Tartu is highlighting its diverse offerings for both corporate events and scientific engagement. Local venues such as the Tartu Art Museum, Vanemuine Concert Hall, and Ülikooli Kohvik are positioning themselves to provide holistic event experiences rather than just traditional seminar spaces. Organizers note a shift in corporate demand toward integrated solutions that offer unique environments to foster different types of social interaction.

In the realm of science, the University of Tartu participated in the Scientists' Night festival from September 21 to 27. The event opened various research buildings and laboratories to the public, offering free workshops and demonstrations. Activities included building robots and rockets, testing self-driving cars, and exploring astronomical observations. The initiative, supported by the European Union’s Horizon Europe program, aims to spark interest in scientific careers among youth and the general public.
