TASPEN Disburses Over Rp1 Billion in Accident Compensation to Two ASN Families in Riau Islands

Indonesia's state pension agency PT TASPEN (Persero) handed out Rp1.081.806.097 in work‑accident (JKK) and death (JKM) benefits to the families of two civil servants in the Riau Islands province. The first recipient was the heir of Nurijanah, a 33‑year‑old Pegawai Pemerintah dengan Perjanjian Kerja (PPPK) who had been employed for only six months and paid contributions of roughly Rp46,000 per month; she received Rp649.564.597 for injury treatment, a Rp182.994.400 death allowance and a Rp312.800 return of contributions and old‑age savings. The second payment went to the family of Abdul Azis, an ASN from Batam, covering a JKK amount of Rp164.016.100, a JKM of Rp32.883.300 and a THT saving of Rp52.034.900.

The ceremonies were conducted by TASPEN Commissioner Fary Djemy Franscis and local officials, who stressed that social protection for civil servants applies regardless of membership length. Nationally, TASPEN has disbursed benefits worth Rp652.723.331.548 to more than 50,000 claims, underscoring its role in Indonesia’s social security system.
