TasteAtlas ranks world's best börek varieties

The gastronomy platform TasteAtlas has released its updated list of the world's best varieties of börek. Turkish cuisine dominated the rankings, with eight of the top ten varieties originating from Turkey.

Paçanga böreği, a specialty from Istanbul made with pastırma, kashar cheese, and vegetables, secured the first position with a score of 4.3. The list also featured Gaziantep katmeri in second place. Other Turkish entries in the top ten include kol böreği, sigara böreği, gül böreği, Boşnak böreği, su böreği, and tepsi böreği.

The remaining two spots in the top ten were occupied by Burek from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Chebureki (known as çiğ börek in Turkey) from Crimea.
