Turkish cuisine in TasteAtlas rankings

Overview

The gastronomy platform TasteAtlas released an updated ranking of the world’s best varieties of börek. Turkish cuisine showed significant dominance in the list, with eight of the top ten varieties originating from Turkey.

Istanbul’s Paçanga böreği, prepared with pastırma, kashar cheese, and vegetables, secured the first position with a score of 4.3. The second position was held by Gaziantep katmeri. Other Turkish entries in the top ten included kol böreği, sigara böreği, gül böreği, Boşnak böreği, su böreği, and tepsi böreği. The final two spots in the top ten were occupied by Burek from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Chebureki from Crimea.
