Tata Motors acquires 89.42% stake in Iveco Group for €3.43 billion
Tata Motors has completed the acquisition of an 89.42% controlling stake in the European commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco Group. The transaction, valued at approximately €3.43 billion, was finalized following the settlement of a voluntary cash tender offer.
Through its subsidiary, TML CV Holdings B.V., Tata Motors acquired 238,157,212 common shares at a price of €14.40 per share. This move marks Tata Motors' largest acquisition since its purchase of Jaguar Land Rover in 2008 and significantly expands its global commercial mobility footprint by combining its presence in India and emerging markets with Iveco's European operations and technology.
The acquisition aims to eventually delist Iveco from the Milan Stock Exchange. A second tender offer period is scheduled to run from November 2 to November 6, 2026, for shareholders who did not participate in the initial phase.
