Tata Motors aims to complete €3.8bn Iveco acquisition by Q2 FY27

At its annual general meeting, Tata Motors confirmed that its €3.8 billion acquisition of Iveco Group is on track to close in the second quarter of fiscal year 2027, with most regulatory approvals already secured.

Chairman N. Chandrasekaran said the deal will give Tata access to advanced power‑train technology and the FPT Industrial division in Turin, strengthening the company’s international commercial‑vehicle business and targeting a top‑four global ranking.

The acquisition, announced in July 2025 and excluding Iveco’s defence business, is intended to boost Tata’s presence in Europe and beyond; the company reported record FY26 revenue of ₹83,855 crore and a 55% domestic market share for heavy commercial vehicles.
