Tata Motors and Mahindra Logistics report strong Q2 FY27 financial results

Tata Motors reported a 42% year-on-year increase in standalone revenue to ₹23,930 crore for the second quarter of FY2026-27. This growth was driven by strong commercial vehicle demand and higher wholesale volumes. The company recorded a standalone profit after tax of approximately ₹2,100 crore. Despite the revenue surge, rising commodity prices impacted margins, with the standalone EBITDA margin decreasing to 11.7% from the previous year.

Mahindra Logistics Limited also posted significant growth, with consolidated revenue rising 24% year-on-year to ₹2,095 crore. The company’s profit after tax increased 3.5 times to ₹26.2 crore. Key drivers included a 28% expansion in contract logistics and a 33% growth in the mobility business. Additionally, the company’s express business, MESPL, achieved its first EBITDA-positive quarter since its acquisition.
