Tata Motors begins Sierra EV deliveries across India

Tata Motors started delivering its new Sierra electric SUV in India, with the first vehicle handed over in Ahmedabad. The rollout follows a June 2026 wholesale dispatch of 1,516 units to dealerships nationwide, marking a strong start for the model.

The Sierra EV is offered with two battery packs – a 63 kWh unit delivering a claimed range of about 565 km (MIDC) and a larger 75 kWh pack promising up to 665 km (MIDC) and higher power outputs. The AWD version delivers 345 bhp and 504 Nm. Prices range from roughly ₹18.79 lakh to ₹26.48 lakh.

Design cues retain the classic Sierra silhouette while adding EV‑specific touches such as a closed grille, LED lighting, and a five‑link rear suspension. The vehicle’s launch aims to strengthen Tata Motors’ position in India's premium electric SUV segment.
