Tata Motors rolls out 2026 Tiago facelift and launches upgraded Tiago EV in India
Tata Motors unveiled the 2026 facelift of its Tiago hatchback in India, priced at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex‑showroom). The update adds a sharper exterior, a 10.25‑inch infotainment screen, dual wireless charging pads, a digital driver display and an enhanced safety suite with six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX mounts, parking sensors and a 360‑degree camera.
Alongside the ICE facelift, Tata launched the new Tiago EV. The electric hatchback is offered with two battery packs – 19.2 kWh (62 hp, 226 km range) and 24 kWh (75 hp, 285 km range) – and supports fast DC charging (10‑80 % in ~35 minutes). Pricing starts at Rs 6.99 lakh for outright purchase, or Rs 4.69 lakh under a Battery‑as‑a‑Service (BaaS) scheme. Standard features include a 10.25‑inch floating touchscreen, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, 360‑degree camera, six airbags, TPMS and over 40 connected‑car functions.
The Tiago EV is positioned against rivals such as the MG Comet EV and Citroën eC3 in the affordable electric segment. Media in Italy and Chile report that Tata is eyeing a European launch with an entry price around €8,000‑9,000, aiming to challenge low‑cost Chinese EVs on the continent.
