Tata Motors teases Sierra EV ahead of June 30 launch

Tata Motors released its first teaser of the Sierra EV, its seventh all‑electric model, ahead of the scheduled launch on June 30. The SUV will retain the squared‑off design of the internal‑combustion Sierra while adopting an EV‑specific front fascia and “EV” badging.

The Sierra EV is expected to use Tata’s Acti.ev+ architecture and share the 65 kWh or 75 kWh battery packs currently fitted to the Harrier EV. Both rear‑wheel‑drive and all‑wheel‑drive versions are planned, with an anticipated driving range of more than 500 km on a single charge. Inside, the cabin will feature a digital instrument cluster, central touchscreen and optional passenger display, along with premium amenities such as a panoramic sunroof and head‑up display.

The launch will place the Sierra EV between Tata’s Curvv E and Harrier EV in the lineup, targeting competitors such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6 and Maruti e‑Vitara.
