Tata Punch reaches 8 lakh units sold, fastest Indian compact SUV

Tata Motors announced that its compact SUV Tata Punch has crossed the 8 lakh sales milestone in just five years since its launch in October 2021, making it the fastest‑selling compact SUV in India.

The model sold 2.18 lakh units between August 2025 and July 2026, a 27.9 % year‑on‑year increase, with July 2026 alone delivering a record 21,313 units. This performance makes Punch Tata Motors’ top‑selling passenger vehicle and the fifth‑best‑selling car in the Indian market.

Punch is offered with petrol, CNG and electric powertrains, and its broad feature set and practical design have driven strong demand across both ICE and EV segments.
