German crime series Tatort introduces new investigators and cast changes
Several German crime television series are undergoing significant cast changes or premieres. In the popular “Tatort” franchise, the Franken-based team is introducing a new investigator, Emilia “Emmy” Rathgeber, played by Rosalie Thomass, joining existing detective Felix Voss. Her debut episode, “Gottesgarten,” involves the investigation of a murder in a Nuremberg hotel.
In Kiel, the “Tatort” series has transitioned to a new female duo following the long-running era of Klaus Borowski. Almila Bagriacik stars as Mila Şahin alongside Karoline Schuch as criminal psychologist Elli Krieger. Their recent episodes explore themes of organized crime and money laundering within the tech startup sector.
The “Usedom-Krimi” series also features ongoing developments, with the 30th film, “Wunschkind,” focusing on a complex custody battle and a murder involving a local lawyer. Additionally, the “Nord bei Nordwest” series continues to draw large audiences with its depiction of crime in the fictional village of Schwanitz.
