Tavanir CEO reports on Iran's power grid reconstruction and energy management

Mohammad Elahdad, CEO of Tavanir and supervisor of the specialized parent company for the production, transmission, and distribution of Iran's electric power, addressed the state of the national power industry. He noted that the sector faced significant damage to infrastructure, including power plants with a combined capacity of over 4,000 megawatts, following wartime incidents.

Elahdad highlighted that workers have been engaged in continuous efforts to rebuild damaged networks and prepare the grid for seasonal transitions. He credited the successful management of summer electricity demand to the cooperation of the public, noting that smart management strategies helped reduce electricity demand by approximately 3 percent for the second consecutive year, despite an 8.6 percent growth in consumption last year.

Furthermore, he acknowledged government support in energy management, the development of renewable energy, and efforts to combat inefficient consumption patterns.
