Tax Administration of FBiH conducts 173 inspections and issues 265,700 KM in fines

The Tax Administration of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina conducted 173 inspections across the hospitality, trade, and bakery sectors on August 18. The operation, which included heightened monitoring during the Sarajevo Film Festival, resulted in 30 establishments being sealed due to irregularities such as operating without permits, employing unregistered workers, and failing to use fiscal devices.

In total, inspectors identified 54 unregistered workers and 66 instances where transactions were not recorded via fiscal devices. Fines totaling 265,700 KM were issued across 97 cases. The administration reported that 56 percent of the inspected taxpayers were not in compliance with current regulations.

In Sarajevo Canton, specific inspections focused on festival locations, resulting in 6 establishments being sealed and 18 misdemeanor orders issued with fines amounting to 53,000 KM. Additionally, separate market surveillance of construction materials revealed that six out of eight tested types of thermal insulation products failed to meet legal standards, leading to the withdrawal or destruction of various products.
