Trenčín taxi driver arrested for drug‑impaired driving at Pohoda festival
Police in Trenčín stopped a 49‑year‑old taxi driver during security checks at the airport for the Pohoda music festival. A breath test showed no alcohol, but a rapid drug test returned positive results for methamphetamine, amphetamine and THC. The driver’s licence was seized and he was banned from driving pending further action. Police spokesperson Petra Klenková said the incident reinforces the importance of the heightened safety measures implemented for the festival and the summer tourism season.
The authorities highlighted that they will continue to monitor public order and road safety for festival attendees and the wider community.
