Tazelab cuts ties with streamer Bigmo after child vape ad controversy
Indonesian vape manufacturer Tazelab announced it has terminated its partnership with livestreamer Muhammad Jannah, known as Bigmo, following a viral video that appeared to involve children naming a vape liquid during a live broadcast. The company said the incident was not part of the agreed‑upon collaboration, thanked the public for its feedback, and pledged to respond openly.
The episode sparked criticism from content creator Sadam Permana, who reported the matter to the Indonesian Child Protection Commission, the National Commission for Child Protection and the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection. Deputy Chairman of the DPR’s Commission III, Ahmad Sahroni, called for police action, the arrest of Bigmo, and the blocking of his YouTube channel, citing violations of laws prohibiting nicotine advertising to minors.
