TCE-CE submits list of 2,546 managers with irregular accounts to Electoral Court

The State Court of Accounts of Ceará (TCE-CE) has submitted a list of 2,546 public managers and former managers to the Electoral Court. This list includes 3,441 processes involving municipalities and the state of Ceará where accounts were rejected or judged irregular over the last eight years.

The documentation was sent to the Regional Electoral Court of Ceará (TRE-CE) and the Regional Electoral Prosecutor's Office. TCE-CE President Rholden Queiroz stated that the action fulfills a legal obligation and aims to increase transparency, allowing voters to make informed decisions.

Being included on the list does not result in automatic ineligibility. The Electoral Court is responsible for individually analyzing each case to determine if the requirements for declaring a candidate ineligible, as established by the Ineligibility Law, are met. The TCE-CE also provides data regarding any debts imposed on the managers to assist in these legal analyses.
