TCU volleyball sweeps Arizona in three sets
No. 8 TCU volleyball secured its 12th consecutive victory by sweeping the Arizona Wildcats in three straight sets (25-17, 25-23, 25-20) at Schollmaier Arena. The win maintains TCU’s perfect record in Big 12 conference play.
TCU controlled much of the match with a .320 team hitting percentage, compared to Arizona’s .154. Becca Kelley led the Horned Frogs' offense with 12 kills, while Jalyn Gibson contributed 11 kills and eight digs. Freshman Kinsley Young provided significant defensive presence with five blocks.
Despite the loss, Arizona showed signs of improvement in the latter sets. After a slow start in the first set, the Wildcats increased their offensive output, moving from eight kills in the opener to 14 kills in the second and 13 in the third, narrowing the kill disadvantage significantly.
